Sakdinon Chujun

I am an English major at Bangkok University who ended up building software, which is not the path the degree implies. It happened because the student committee I joined kept losing information — a member registered three times under three spellings, equipment walked out of a room with nobody recording who took it, attendance counted on paper the morning after an event. Nobody was careless. The systems were just made of paper and goodwill.

I started fixing that with the cheapest tool available and kept going.

What I actually do

I look at a process people are doing by hand, work out where it leaks time or accuracy, and replace that part with something that runs itself. Sometimes that is a spreadsheet formula. Sometimes it is a barcode scanner, an AI model reading a form, or a full database with a permission model. The tool is a consequence of the problem, not a preference.

Five systems have come out of that so far, all of them in production for a real organisation with real deadlines. The Apps Script tools shipped first because they could ship in days and cost nothing to run. The Next.js portal came later, when the problem stopped being "this task is manual" and became "these four systems cannot talk to each other."

Working with AI

I use generative AI as part of how I build, not as a feature to bolt on. In the Committee Registry that meant eight production automations on Groq — duplicate detection during bulk import, auto-approval scoring for borrow requests, demand forecasting for inventory, natural-language search across three systems. The useful ones turned out to be decision support, not chat.

The same applies to how I write code: I use AI models for logic design, debugging, and working through architecture faster than I could alone. I am specific about that because I think it is a skill worth being explicit about rather than quiet about.

Before the code

Two roles taught me the process half of this work, and neither involved programming.

As Creative Director of BU ENG FEST 2025 I owned the visual and thematic direction of the event — and, more usefully, built the workflow that kept the Graphic, Prop, and Creative teams aligned: clear task division, weekly syncs, design reviews, and a single point of contact between the three so overlaps got caught early instead of at load-in.

As Project Manager for the English Department's BU Open House 2024 I planned and ran the day end to end, coordinating a student team and making sure visitors, teachers, and students all had somewhere to be.

Both were process improvement. Neither had a repository.

Roles

Head of System, Archive, Inventory and Inspection Task Force — English Major Student Committee, Bangkok University. From February 2026. Responsible for the committee's internal systems: keeping operations efficient and transparent, driving the move toward a "Smart Organization" through digital systems and knowledge management, analysing operational problems and proposing fixes, and working with each team to turn what they need into something that actually gets adopted.

Inspection and System Development — English Major Student Committee. February 2026. Designed and built three of the committee's operational systems independently: Inventory Management, Committee Registry, and Event Registration. Integrated Gmail, Discord webhooks, and a Groq AI chatbot for notifications and automated responses. Shipped OTP-based registration, QR check-in and check-out, waitlist management, live dashboards, and audit logging.

Part-time Staff, Home Fashion — Nitori, Future Park, Pathum Thani. June–December 2025. High-volume retail floor: 500+ customers a day, cashier operations, and keeping stock and product information accurate. Unglamorous, and the best training in what happens when a stock record and reality disagree.
